Judah Gross was born in Philadelphia. After graduating from high school he took a year off before enrolling at he University of Maryland and traveled to Israel, studying at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and serving as an EMT. He began studying journalism at Maryland in fall 2008. He was the editor-in-chief of The Mitzpeh, UMD's independent Jewish magazine. He has worked at a few publications: The Washington Post, The Prince George's Sentinel, Heeb Magazine and New Voices. He is very interested in photography and food. Twitter. Facebook.
