Jeff Mittelstad, pursuing a MA in journalism, holds multiple degrees: A.B. in psychology from Davidson College; M.E.M in environment from Duke; and an MBA in entrepreneurship and sustainable enterprise from UNC. He has worked for the EPA’s Office of Inspector General, evaluating air quality programs, and as a vice president and senior analyst at Bank of America working on green building and renewable energy issues. He left BOA to lead a national sustainable manufacturing initiative for a nonprofit, NACAFAM. He is on an eco-innovation and sustainability advisory board for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
